On Tuesday 14th June, Year 6 students visited Nottingham Trent University as part of the university's outreach programme. The day explored the experience of life at a university, and made comparisons for the children with their impending transition to secondary school. We found out about the various courses and activities available at universities across the country, before taking a tour around the campus to see sights such as the library, sporting facilities, canteens and accommodation blocks.
It was a great, but wet day at the Kwik Cricket Festival yesterday! The Y5/6 Girls finished in 3rd place, winning 2 of their 4 games and the Y6 boys team, who won all 4 of their matches, finished in 1st place!
The boys will now play in the County Final at Lady Bay Bridge later in the month. Well done to all the children. They gave their all and represented the school really well!
Also, thank you to parents for allowing us to be able to get the children there and back!

To launch the Year 3/4 new topic after the Easter holidays, we have arranged for an external provider to deliver a workshop which will see the children time travel to the Stone Age!
The workshop will take place on the morning of Tuesday 26th April 2016. The children will learn historical information through interactive activities with a focus on drama and performance.
The Year 3/4 children would like to invite you to watch their Ancient Egyptian performance of “MUMMY IN SCHOOL! “
We have planned to have two performances. The first will be on Tuesday 29th March starting at 5.30. We ask that children go home as normal and then arrive back at school at 5.00 to prepare for the 5.30 start. They should enter via the main office so we can register them on arrival. The performance will last approximately 1 hour so children will need picking up at 6.30pm from the leisure centre entrance.
