The basketball team competed against the best school teams in the county on Friday.
Firstly, the opening ceremony showcased singing, international football freestylers and a street dancer before the children moved onto the Wildcats Arena for their competition.

Primary School Games
What a great day today! 16 children took part in the annual Primary Games, where the top 8 performing schools in Ashfield faced off in sporting competitions throughout the day.
Having qualified by finishing 4th in the primary medal table and gaining the 2nd highest medal haul overall, we looked forward to celebrating a fantastic year of sporting competition at Edgewood by competing with similar schools.

Y5/6 Kwik Cricket Festival
It was a great, but wet day at the Kwik Cricket Festival yesterday! The Y5/6 Girls finished in 3rd place, winning 2 of their 4 games and the Y6 boys team, who won all 4 of their matches, finished in 1st place!
The boys will now play in the County Final at Lady Bay Bridge later in the month. Well done to all the children. They gave their all and represented the school really well!
Also, thank you to parents for allowing us to be able to get the children there and back!
Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics

A fantastic team performance from the Year 5/6 team, leading to a 1st place finish and qualification for the District Final! Congratulations to all pupils involved and also a big thank you to parents and carers for supporting both vocally and through transport!
Girls' Football Club
Tonight saw a successful start to the Girls' Football Club with all of the girls getting stuck in! The children spent time outside under the floodlights until the heavens opened, at which point they transferred indoors!
7s Rugby
Congratulations to the 7's Rugby team who took part in a District competition last week. They achieved a remarkable 3rd place against some very tough opposition!
