We will be holding our party during the afternoon. Letters have gone out with food donation requests. Please speak to a member of staff if you are unsure what to send in. Hopefully we will be recieving a very special visitor. Keep your fingers crossed.
Children in Red and Green class watched a video clip about London streets in 1903 to help them understand life 100 years ago. As a group they have looked at modern day photographs of soldiers, medals, poppies and Flanders Fields. To encourage their questioning and understanding everyone made two different pictures of Flanders Fields. The 1915 picture involved using different shades of charcoal, creating a dark and eerie picture. The 2015 picture represented a green field with an array of brighlty coloured poppies.
On November 9th, Edgewood Primary School will be welcoming a visitor from Severn Trent to kick start our study of the water cycle. In a whole school assembly, our special guest will teach our children about saving water and looking after our sewers to help the environment. Back in the Year 3/4 classrooms, Severn Trent will lead an exciting lesson to introduce the water cycle through a real world connection to water treatment.
