Beach day in Rainbow class
We had an amazing time today. We had a beach day to round off our work about the seaside. An entertainer 'William the Wizard' did magic tricks. Many children helped him with his tricks. We danced and played games, ate ice-creams to cool down and paddled in the paddling pools. Many parents and grandparents came and joined us. It was a very hot day. Everyone seemd to enjoy themselves and have great fun.
Many thanks to parents that helped.
Thanks to all the staff that helped too.
Have a great Summer everyone.
Best wishes,

Bug 'n' Bones visit Red class
We had a lovely time meeting some very special creatures. We held a rabbit, stick insect, gecko, bearded dragon, snake and a tortoise. We learnt where they like to live and what they like to eat. All the children were very respectful of the animals and the animals were very well behaved too!

Our visitors from Bugs n Bones
We had an amazing time today learning about different creatures. We handled a variety of things, including Mrs Boo the Tarantula, some hissing cockroaches, geckos, corn snakes and a rabbit called 'Frog'. Everyone was very sensible. The ladies from 'Bugs n Bones called Amanda and Sophie looked after us. We got a souvenir keyring with a photograph of us handling the animals.
Thank you to everyone involved.

Euro 2016 in Nursery
We celebrated the start of the Euro 2016 football championship by dressing up,tasting food and making flags. We found out about some of the countries that will be taking part such as France, Germany, Greece and Italy. We had a great day exploring a range of activities and finding out about these countries. Some children even built the Eiffel tower. We did some Greek dancing and had lots of fun as we learned.
Many thanks to all the children and parents that helped.

Butterflies in Nursery
We are pleased to announce that all 5 butterflies safely emerged and have now been released to fly around the countryside to find new friends.
The children have enjoyed watching the amazing transformation from tiny caterpillars to beautiful Painted Lady butterflies.
See some photographs of the children looking carefully at the symmetrical patterns on the wings of the butterflies before they flew away.

St George's day celebrations
Everyone in school wore red and white clothing for the day and in Rainbow class we tried lots of different activities to find out more about why we celebrate St George's day.
We decorated biscuits with the English flag, made red roses, made dragon masks and danced with red and white ribbons. We listened to the story of St George slaying the dragon and then acted this story out.
We had a great time learning about why we celebrate St George's day.
We hope that you enjoy looking at some of the photographs that were taken.

The Queen's 90th birthday party
We celebrated the Queen's 90th birthday in Rainbow class. We had cakes, sandwiches and a special drink. We made crowns to wear and found out some facts about the Queen. It was also Harrison's birthday. He was 4 years old. We had a lovely time.
Look at some of the photographs taken on the day. We have a display in Nursery that you can pop in and see. We have also designed stamps for the Queen's birthday.
