The children are having a great time at Kingswood; eating lots and enjoying a range of activities.
We are still struggling with Wi-Fi that is only working for short periods at random times and on very limited bandwidth so please bear with us if there are less photos than in previous years - we are trying our best. All the children are here and have really impressed us with how well they are taking part and how they are having a go and being really resilient with the activities.
Day 1
After negotiating the traffic delays on the M6, we got to RAF Cosford and had a look at planes and missiles from the two World Wars and the Cold War. We enjoyed the experience of a dog fight over the trenches in Flander's Fields as the Red Baron and quickly ate our lunch before carrying on to Kingswood.
When we arrived we had our first activities and then went into our dorms and made our beds.
We then had dinner followed by our first evening activity - Scrapheap Challenge - followed by hot chocolate and bed.
Day 2
After an early breakfast (7:30) we got ready for our first full day of activities. Activities for different groups today included; archery, abseiling, low ropes, nightline and climbing.
The children are currently having songs and hot chocolate around a campfire and singing songs before hopefully a peaceful night's sleep...
We will try and post an update here again tomorrow and will keep adding pictures to the school Twitter and Facebook feeds.
See you all soon,
Mr Seeley
